In its continuous endeavour to maintain supremacy in high-end mobile market, Korean giant Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy Note 3, a slimmer and lighter version of the Note 2 at an event in Berlin.

The company also introduced a digital watch ‘Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch’ during the same event. The watch will let users check messages with a glance at their wrists and have conversations secret agent-style.

Display:

The display of the tablet is bright and clear that makes for a good audio/video watch. With a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED (1920 x 1080) screen, you can be sure of a good viewing experience. The Note III features a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor (LTE Version) and a 1.9 GHz Octa-core processor (3G version.


Camera: 

The Galaxy Note 3 has cameras on both its front and back sides. The device houses a 13 megapixel rear BSI Sensor camera with LED Flash and Zero Shutter Lag. As per reports the camera can click clear pictures but takes a while to save it. It also enables 4K video recording (Snapdragon 800 version).

S Pen:

The Galaxy Note 3 comes with an improved and updated stylus pen or S Pen to use a more symmetrical shape. The S-pen comes with enhanced multitasking-oriented functionality in its software like a new navigation wheel for pen-enabled apps, along with pop-up apps and expanded multi-window functionality.

Other Specs:

Other key specs include Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Operating system. It packs a powerful 3 GB RAM. The device has 32 or 62 GB memory, additionally expandable 64 GB using microSD slot. It also has a powerful 3,200 mAh battery. The device, which will come preloaded with more than 60 apps, including a step-counting pedometer and S Voice, a voice-activated app akin to Apple's Siri, can however not be used for composing emails or downloading music.

Availability and price

The Galaxy Note 3 was introduced on September 4, 2013 by Samsung at Galaxy Unpacked in Berlin. The phablet smartphone will be released internationally in late-2013. The phone will be available in jet black, classic white, and blush pink colour options. As per reports, the phone will be priced at approximately USD 700. Other reports say that AT&T has started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 3 for USD 299.99 with a new two-year contract.
